It is with profound sadness that the Shirvan Family and The Consolidated Companies announce the death of Jess M. Shirvan.
Jess, Vice-President of the organization, passed away the 19th of October. After an eighteen month battle with cancer, which he faced and fought gallantly, lost his fight with his closest friends and family at his bedside.
Jess leaves a wife, Dawn; and three children, Harlee, Kendall, and Cooper. Jess Shirvan had a zest for life and lived every day in his days of both sickness and health with a smile and positive attitude. His love for his family and friends continually pushed him in his quest to conquer what ultimately became insurmountable. We at the Consolidated Companies will forever miss his easy going demeanor, friendship, and innate ability to make others feel just simply "comfortable".

To: Our valued customers
From: Mark J. Shirvan
Re: TimberTech

It is with much angst and trepidation that we inform you of our decision to exit our distribution of the TimberTech product line.

As our industry is quite well aware, with last year's change in ownership of the TimberTech organization and the future of the new distribution channel not as of yet being determined, we at Consolidated have decided that we are unable to continue to wait for that decision and have decided to pro-actively move in another direction with regard to our decking program.

The past fifteen years with the TimberTech company has been a wonderful and fruitful ride. Due to the joint efforts of our organization and theirs, we have participated in taking a product line from its inception and experienced it flourish to the level it is today.

While ending this relationship is bittersweet, as our companies relationships from the Columbus, Ohio personnel to those in this market run deep, for all of those remaining with the new Timber Tech organization we wish heartfelt good wishes for the future.

Rest assured however, that Consolidated will not be exiting the decking business and is in the process of securing a quality and competitive line which we look forward to bringing to you, our valued customers shortly.

Please know that your loyalty and support of all of our divisions will always be greatly appreciated.

It is with great pleasure and excitement to announce an agreement between The Consolidated Companies and the MASCO organization for the distribution of the Merillat Kitchen Cabinet line.

This will be Consolidated's initial entry into the kitchen cabinet business and is pleased to have the opportunity to partner with an industry leader like MASCO. The Merillat product line is one of the highest quality, with premier design and superior delivery capabilities. Each product carries the KCMA seal of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association. These ingredients mesh well with Consolidated's mantra for the timely servicing and distribution of quality products to the Lumber and Building Materials trade.

While 2010 has been a year of unrest and uncertainty, The Consolidated Companies, headquartered in Clifton, NJ, appears to have an upbeat prognosis for the industry and its organizations future.

In the early part of this year, Consolidated’s “CDS” division acquired the assets of the long standing Door and Millwork Wholesaler, Long Island Wholesalers of New York. The modus for this was not only to capitalize on the market share of LIW with regard to their Exterior Door business, which CDS has been engaged in, but to catapult CDS into the Interior door business and ancillary millwork products.

Regretfully, on June 27th, 2010, CDS’s Door facility in Philadelphia experienced a catastrophic fire causing a complete cessation of door assembly operations. However, with the acquisition of the LIW operation 5 months prior, due to the efforts of a dedicated staff, within 3 weeks of the fire, modified operations resumed in what was LIW’s Allentown facility. To date, production is almost at 75% of pre-fire levels.

In addition to the aforesaid expansion, Consolidated is pleased to announce another progressive growth step by purchasing the assets of the Luvipol Puertas distribution operation in Monsey, NY, and becoming the Exclusive distributor of the Luvipol Door Line of Spain. This, formally the Creative Door distributorship of Monsey.

Exciting as 2010 has been for the Consolidated Companies, with the expansion of the Door category in its product mix, Consolidated Distribution Services will be moving all door operations to a new facility in Bensalem, PA.

The Consolidated Companies, headquartered in Clifton, New Jersey, operates three divisions in what will now be 4 locations. Consolidated Lumber Corporation: distributors of Mouldings and Millwork to Retail Lumberyards and Home Centers in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania markets. Consolidated Pine: a manufacturer of Solid, Finger-Jointed, and Finger-Jointed & Primed Pine Mouldings located in Prineville, Oregon.

Consolidated Distribution Services: distributors of Millwork and Building materials servicing the same customer base as Consolidated Lumber Corporation.
